Back Online at Home

We returned from a weekend in the Bay Area to a dead modem. No internet access at home. Fortunately, I didn't have to work from home or respond to urgent emails, so this didn't bother me much. I reminded myself that there was life before internet.

I'm back online now, but I realized during those two days just how much time I spend online at home. I usually turn on my computer within an hour of getting home from the office. Why I do this, considering I spend all day in front of a computer, I don't know. I probably spend a good hour+ on the computer at night. Checking email, facebooking, looking things up on wiki.

I really need to cut back. I don't remember what I used to do before I had internet access at home. Did I read more? Talk to friends? Now I just watch Dancing with the Stars on TV and then go online to wiki all the stars and their partners...

Alright, that begs the question, Who are you rooting for on DWTS? And is it just me, or ain't it grand to see Floyd go?

i was not sad to see floyd go. his dancing was a little too spastic for me. mark cuban is kinda fun, i hope he stays on for a couple more weeks. i like the race car driver the best. the cheetahs girl is good, too good, it almost seems unfair. i don't like jennie garth because she takes it all too seriously. you?

i watch the cheetah girl when she dances, but i can't stand to see her in interviews or confessionals. ugh. i wonder if they're getting all the teen votes.... i like helio a lot, too, but i wasn't loving that waltz last week. and wassup with the 90210 crowd. ian ziering was super-anal serious last season, too.

one of the reasons i love helio: "I had a little input in the costume," he said. "And I said, 'I want to use some bling bling in my tie, for once.' And Julianne said, 'No, No, NO!' But thank god the people from the wardrobe department said 'yes.' " he's such a hoot. it's all about personality.

I know I used to read a WHOLE lot more books in the pre-Internet days!

I use to watch more TV before. These days I hardly watch any.
